We would like to welcome our new management team and farewell and thank Andrea Lawson. Andrea, our previous practice manager, has now moved on to new opportunities after 8 wonderful years with us at Medplus. We wish her all the best for her new role and are very grateful for her long-term dedication to our staff, patients and our business.
Instead of having one practice manager we have divided the role into 2 positions and are pleased to introduce you to Katherine Brewer and Karren Cameron.
Katherine Brewer is our new Peoples and Capabilities Manager, her role is to work with our staff and ensure that Medplus is delivering our vision and values. Katherine has come from an HR background in service industries such as hospitality, which she believes has given her an amazing foundation for the challenges of Health Care.
Katherine grew up on the North Shore and went to Carmel College. She went to Auckland University where she studied Law and Science. Whilst she loved law, she felt that her skill would be better at the beginning of the employment process and from there a career in HR commenced. She credits her parents for her achievements, as they gave her the courage to try, to fail and to keep going.
When Katherine is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Shane and their fur baby Misty. When they get the chance, they enjoy catching up with friends and playing board games and having a good meal together.
Karren is our new Operations and Finance Manager. Karren has come from a media background where she worked in financial and operational management of both local and international broadcast content.
Karren grew up on a farm in Te Kawa, studied and worked in London for ten years and now lives in Takapuna with her husband and two teenage children. She enjoys cycling, yoga and travelling.
