Introducing Dr Jenny Park
We are delighted to have Jenny join the team at Medplus and want to introduce her to you.
Jenny was born in Seoul, Korea, and came here in 2002 when she was 13 years old. She attended Long Bay College and then ACG Senior College before going to Medical School in Otago. After graduating, in 2012, she worked in various medical and surgical specialties in Auckland, North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals and she also spent time working as a medical registrar in Sydney, Australia. In 2018 she transitioned to General Practice. She is really enjoying General Practice because it gives her an opportunity to really get to know the patients she is caring for and is enjoying the continuity of care she can offer. Her special interests include care of the older adult, and management of long-term conditions (such as diabetes, heart disease and asthma.)
What is your most creative hobby? My most creative hobby is knitting, but I also enjoy cooking.
How do you spend your free time? I usually spend my weekend at church or hanging out with friends and family (Especially with my new 4-month-old nephew!!) I am an animal person (I love both cats and dogs, but I am more of a cat person). I have a husband who is a Korean Australian accountant.
What would your dream holiday be? I have always dreamed of travelling to Europe which I got to do this July
Jenny is accepting new patients now and looks forward to meeting you.
