Diabetes Self-Management Education
Free Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) courses comprising three 2.5 hour sessions led by dietitians, nurses and psychologists. The course provides helpful tips on food choices, keeping active, setting health goals, medications and foot care, complementing information given by GPTs about diabetes, pre-diabetes or reducing cardiovascular risk. Courses will start in Albany and Orewa in June.

Free cooking class for those with Type 2 Diabetes
This free cooking class provides an opportunity for patients with type 2 diabetes to learn to cook affordable, quick, tasty and healthy meals.

From July the North Shore Day Diabetes Support Group will meet at Takapuna Library.
Dates: First Tuesday of every month except January, April and December
