Tēnā koe to Amber - our new Medplus Health Improvement Practitioner
March 28, 2021
Tēnā koe to Amber, our new Medplus Health Improvement Practitioner.
Amber is a human first and foremost and dearly enjoys connecting upon this equal platform. She is also an Occupational Therapist and qualified Yoga teacher who is deeply passionate about working as a Health Improvement Practitioner within the Medplus community.
Prior to this position she was working in trauma-informed care for The People's Project, an organization that works predominantly with people who have been homeless and experiencing poor mental wellbeing. Through working one-on-one with people and in group settings she has witnessed the benefits of incorporating preventative lifestyle measures. Holistic wellbeing requires us to connect with our whole Self - a confronting & vulnerable prospect for many, but ultimately the most rewarding sense of peace awaits with gracious discipline and dedication to preventative care.
Amber wholeheartedly holds space for all those in need - for we all need support through the fluctuating waves of our journey to Self. Join her in clinic whenever you need. She visits both Medplus Lake Road and Anne Street, and she works some evenings and weekends. Visits with Amber are free to our patients, and as we have already been delighted to discover, many of our patients who are suffering with distress are finding them priceless.
