Short term Sunday Closure

July 19, 2021

We very much regret to announce that we will be closed on Sundays from now on, until we recruit more nurses and doctors to enable us to safely cover the roster.

We will remain open on Saturday mornings, which are our busier weekend day.

We apologise for this, but in this current environment we have not been able to find good quality staff. This is a significant problem locally and nationally. It predated COVID but has been exacerbated by border closures. Please see the articles below to give some context to this.

We are actively recruiting for new staff but it is taking much longer than we have ever experienced before.

When we are closed, please head to Shorecare in Smales Farm if you need urgent medical care or call 111 in an emergency.

As soon as we can resume our normal Sunday service we will do and will look forward to being one of the very few local practices providing our community with 7 day a week care.
