Changes in the Nursing team
Welcome to our new Nurse Team Leader, Emma
We are delighted to welcome Emma to our nursing team. Emma is the Nurse Team Leader and is very much looking forward to meeting you.
Emma trained and qualified as a Registered Nurse in the UK. After migrating to NZ in 2010, she has been working in the Urgent Care and the Primary Health sector. Emma enjoys all aspects of Primary Health and has gained her Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing.
Emma lives on the North Shore with her husband and son. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and going on holidays.
Farewell to two of our longstanding and treasured nurses.
We are very sad to say goodbye to two of our nurses, who joined us shortly after we opened.
Kerri, who has been with us for 8 years, is leaving us to become a Breast Specialist Nurse at Auckland Breast Centre. This is a fantastic position for Kerri who will be able to use her psychological training to support women with a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Heather, who has been with us for 7 years, is leaving to head home to the bottom of the South Island to be closer to her family.
These amazing nurses will be very much missed by the team and patients alike. We wish them both the best of luck as they embark on their new adventures and are very grateful for their contribution at Medplus over such a long period of time.We are very fortunate that we have just recruited two new nurses to Medplus, and we will look forward to welcoming them in coming weeks. We still have some practice nurse vacancies that we have not been able to fill. Currently there is a desperate shortage of practice nurses in Auckland, especially with the COVID vaccination programme pulling them out of the primary care workforce
