You will see we have a new portacabin in our carpark, this is for our RED CLINIC. Any patients who have symptoms that are compatible with possible COVID 19 are seen in the cabin by a doctor in PPE. Previously our Red Clinic clinicians have had to work in the car park come rain or shine. Given COVID may be around for some while we are ensuring we can totally segregate our Red and Green streams of patients, regardless of the weather

Posted on May 13, 2020

Flu vaccinations 2020
Posted on March 18, 2020
We are anticipating that there will be no difficulty in persuading our at-risk patients to have a flu vaccination this year. Fortunately, the flu vaccinations have arrived early, and we are ready to start vaccinating those in the eligible groups. Please note, it gives no protection against Covid 19, but it may keep you out of hospital during a period where hospital beds are going to be a scarce resource.

Virus Management 101
Posted on March 16, 2020
Winter 2020 is a very unusual time. Normally we are really happy to help with coughs and colds, even if only to give reassurance and advice. However, this year your cough and cold may be really dangerous to others, especially the elderly. If our staff get sick we will no longer be able to provide a service, so please do not come into the building with a cough, cold, runny nose, sore throat or fever, especially if you are a contact of someone with COVID 19, or have been overseas, are in quarantine or live with someone in quarantine. General practice has not been provided with much personal protective equipment, we only got given 11 sets and no indication if we will get more. We are going to need to use it for all patients with coughs and fevers and when we run out we will not be able to risk our staff getting sick so will have to decline service. This is a terrible situation for us, and unprecedented in our careers. We can support you with phone and video consultations. Here is some advice to help get you through an episode of mild symptoms.

COVID 19
