Electronic Communication
Our online patient portal enables you to make online appointments request repeats of your regular medications (if approved by your doctor), view your test results, or send a message or question to your doctor (a fee will apply for GP time). For your safety, we do not accept or send clinical enquiries or information via email. Please note, our team will look at their electronic mail at least once per working day that they are on duty, so it is not suitable for urgent communications.
Communication by text
We will communicate with you (or your children) for recalls, test result notifications, and appointment reminders sometimes. If you are happy to be contacted via this method please ensure we have your current mobile phone number.
Communication by phone
If you need to make an appointment or discuss your enrollment please speak to reception. If you have medical questions to ask to speak to our Medical Assistants. If you are phoning regarding an urgent issue please let the reception staff know and they will direct you to the most appropriate person.
Our Medplus doctors are unable to accept calls while consulting and are not usually available to return calls. If you want to speak with them on the phone please do so by making a phone consultation booking.
Please note we are a General Practice rather than an accident and emergency centre. We operate to primarily serve our own enrolled patients but see visitors if we have availability. Apart from the weekends, we operate by scheduled appointments. This Medplus Lake Road site does all the COVID swabs and can care for those with coughs, colds, runny noses, sore throats and fevers in the Red Clinic.

This year we are closed over the Christmas and New Year period from December 24th to Friday 7th January inclusive.

After hours you can access urgent medical and accident treatment from Shorecare (Smales Farm Takapuna) or from North Shore Hospital if it is an emergency.
